And I cannot think of a more interesting time to launch a new independent digital publication serving London.
London today sits at the center of some of the most consequential debates in Britain:
Immigration. Housing. Politics. Public safety. Protest. Religion. Cost of living. Development. Free speech. Artificial Intelligence. Tourism. Business.

In May, tens of thousands of people took to the streets of London in competing anti-immigration and pro-Palestinian demonstrations, requiring approximately 4,000 police officers in what authorities described as one of their largest public-order operations in years. Reuters reported 43 arrests.
Just days ago, the Financial Times reported a record 230 people crossing the English Channel in a single boat, even as overall crossings have declinedโillustrating how immigration remains one of Britain’s most complex and emotionally charged issues.
The government is simultaneously reconsidering how asylum accommodation is distributed across Britain as communities debate housing costs, fairness, public resources and local impact.
And housing itself remains an enormous London story. Recent reporting describes severe affordability pressures, rental-market disruption and extraordinarily weak levels of new construction in the capital.
Perhaps most importantly for journalism, recent UK research found that misinformation is significantly more prevalent in communities without strong trusted local journalism, with immigration among the subjects most frequently distorted online.
At the same time, the British government has created a new Local News Fund specifically intended to support high-quality journalism and encourage sustainable digital news models.

That is the opportunity.

And what could be a more natural publishing identity than:
Potential structures can include an outright acquisition, financing, partnership or joint venture.
London will never stop producing news.
The question is:
Who wants to build the next great London digital publication?

We were fortunate to acquire the asset at the right price, which gives us the flexibility to offer it today at a substantially reduced level. We are doing so for one primary reason: we believe London needs a credible new media platform launched NOW.
London is navigating one of its most challenging periods in recent memoryโpolitically, socially, economically and culturally. This is exactly the kind of moment when a strong, independent digital publication can matter.
Our current pricing is therefore an opportunity, not a reflection of how we value the asset.
If LondonGazette.com is not acquired in the coming weeks, we intend to return the package to its $275,000 valuation and place it back into our long-term investment inventory. We are very comfortable holding premium digital assets for the right buyer and the right moment, particularly in an asset class we believe will continue to become more valuable over time.
At this point, it is up to the market. ๐ฌ๐ง
